Micro Sprint racing uses small, lightweight cars that run at speeds where containment seating matters but the chassis is too narrow for standard sprint car seats. The Kirkey 37 Series is built for the class, with a 10 degree layback and containment sides that include a head surround sized for Micro Sprint proportions.
The size range runs from 12 to 17 inches, the widest of any Kirkey containment seat. The 12 inch width covers young or small-stature drivers in cars where even a 14 inch shell is too wide; the 17 inch serves the larger Micro Sprint driver who has grown out of the smaller sizes. A black cloth cover is included. Part number is 37-Series. This is the seat only; rear mounting brackets and side or bottom mounts are not in the price and are ordered separately.
The containment sides and head surround mean this seat installs differently from a standard Kirkey bucket. Kirkey’s guidance recommends using all four rear mounting points, not just two, because of how side forces transfer through the structure on a banked oval. The rear seat mount (part 99212) handles those rear points.
For the step up from Micro Sprint into a full sprint car, the 78 Series (part 78-Series) is the premium sprint containment seat with mounting brackets included, and the 79 Series (part 79-Series) is the seat-only sprint option at a lower price. Both run a different angle than the 37 Series.
